I have two linespot wrasses with cloudy eyes...other than that they look healthy. Bright colors, very active, and eating like pigs. Also my new yellow belly regal tang has one eye that looks cloudy and like it is bulging out of his head, does this sound like an injury? Is this something that will go away with good diet or do I need to catch them and treat them (I hope not it will be a royal pain)?

The cloudiness sounds like a bacterial infection and probably needs to be medicated. It's not unusual, so you should be able to find something for it. Perhaps someone will chime in with more info, but I wouldn't leave it alone if you've got more than one fish showing it.

As for the protruding eye, it's commonly called "pop eye." Not really sure how one goes about treating that though.

My achilles tang had a cloudy eye that went away on its own but I remember talking to my lfs owner who told me he had some kind of drops that I could use to treat it if I could catch him, I gave it a few days to see how it would progress and it did get better. If I had more then one fish with it plus one with popeye though I would probably treat it. Theres a few antibiotics that could treat it. Meantime I would do a good water change and feed them a little bit extra, maybe some garlic supplement too. Good luck

I have a fix face with cloudy eyes. I did not give it much thought since it is otherwise looking and acting healthy. But if it is an infection I feel better treating it. I will look into the RX food. Catching him would be almost impossible. Pop eye is an infection. It would show up on my fresh water tank when I was a kid. Sometimes it would go away on its own and other times it would progress until the eye actually did pop out. You have to love these forums. Lots of various wisdom.

I agree with flukes. This is a common symptom for flukes if it's just eye cloudiness but it is not popping out.
