can anyone provide a sample of the detailed measurements you sent to Clearview? I know they want the inside and outside measurements. I just wonder did you sketch something highly detailed and scan it and email it, or just right down more basic measurements??? I just want to provide them the measurements in a form they already know and understand. Many thanks! Of course I will use MY numbers but just want a sample.

I just did a sketch and scanned it. If you have a standard tank they pretty much know your measurements.

Just wanted to say thanks to @ArtFully Acrylic. I ordered my lid before MACNA and they brought it along to the convention for easy pickup. Fits and looks great... as I expected!

i ordered a lid for my IM10 on September 19th to accommodate the new fish going into my display. i then heard from a member on nano-reef that AA was seriously backed up and his lid took 9 weeks.

i got nervous that mine would take that long too and the fact that i haven't heard anything back on my order or my email to them.

well after AA's response in this thread yesterday i can rest assured that i am dealing with a small yet professional company that simply puts out a great product that got behind on the demand. the response here was honest yet confident, and not defensive. i would love to see these lids turned around in a month!

just a piece of advice from a customer: sometimes all that a buyer needs is a conformation email or quick response to assure them their order is being proccessed. i don't think the wait time for the lid is as important as the apprehension that comes with spending money and not hearing anything back from the company.

all that said, thanks for putting out a great product and keeping at it in times of setbacks. i really look forward to getting mine and joining the club!

Yes sir, we are a small, proud, America owned and operated business. We've finally been able to get a new member in place to assist further with customer service. We hope to actually need a FULL customer service department one day.
That's great news! I really do think you have an EXCELLENT product. These screens have been desperately needed in this hobby for years, so it's no surprise you're selling them like hot cakes. From the pics they look to be very well made. In addition to helping keep jumping fish in the tank, it looks like they will also help prevent water from splashing out during glass cleaning on rimless tanks, which is something that I've always hated about having a rimless tank. I'll probably be ordering one soon!

Thanks for the constructive comments. We'd love to see them turn in a month as well and are making adjustments to get to that point quite soon actually. Ultimately, our goal is to get production down to 2-3 week lead times, but there are a lot of moving parts involved in making this a reality. On the lid at 9 weeks, this is exceptionally rare. Though I don't know who the exact customer was so can't make a detailed comment, I can say in the few cases that have run this long there was generally delay of sorts coming from both sides of the table. Some lid setups involve a great deal of correspondence and confirmation to assure they are setup as the customer desires.

I can say with confidence that you would be very hard pressed to find anyone unhappy with our product. If you do, I'm likely unaware of it as we go to great lengths to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.

Thanks for the compliments. Indeed a desperately needed product for the hobby. I think Reefbuilders said it best with "Quite literally, aquarium lid ‘technology’ has been stuck in time for decades, hardly advancing outside the realm of DIY." (That article can be found here: https://reefbuilders.com/2016/04/11/clearview-aquarium-lids-from-artfully-acrylic/#)

In response to the lid helping with water splashing out during glass cleaning however, I can't say that they will help with this as you may expect. Our lids have a small tab about 1" long that rests on the glass every 18-20 inches generally. This is one of the more desirable features of our lids as it minimizes the footprint 'on' the glass allowing those beveled and polished edges to shine through unobstructed. Space in between this certainly isn't water tight so water sloshing from glass cleaning would still allow water to go over the edge in most cases.

We can indeed make you a lid with no mesh. Our Lexan is already 'clear'. We've had this requested a few times, generally from the mid-west or areas where minimizing evaporation is a bigger concern than temperature maintenance. Also requested sometimes on freshwater tanks. Place your order just like any other lid and make note in the order comments that you would like the lid to be solid without mesh. We will make the necessary programming adjustments prior to cutting your lid.

@ArtFully Acrylic When do you believe you'll build a lid that was ordered on 9/16?

Lids are still forecasting currently at 5-6 weeks in most cases. I see your lid doesn't have any custom cutouts so it may ship a bit earlier, but 6 weeks is still the quoted average for most.

Thank you for the quick reply. I do have custom cut outs. I sent a follow-up email and added a comment into the order form about my four EcoTech RMS.

Can i get an update on my order? The order number is AAIC 6363? I did need custom cutouts. I also have an issue. I had entered a coupon code and it was applied. But once the payment processed it did not go thru? Please advise me on how to handle this issue.

Send them an email. They might not get on here everyday, but they do respond to emails about orders.

Mine was a little complicated. The tank is euro-braced and I had two SeaSwirls on the back side. I just took a top down photo of my set up (with everything that the cover had to fit around in place), put the measurements on the photo and sent it to them. They did the drawing and sent it back to me for approval. I wish I could find the photo, but can't seem to put my finger on it at the moment.
