Probably based off material needs. They are going to try and cut lids as they use full sheets of material before just chewing through sheet after sheet and having to store the scraps to try and use later. Want to maximize that material as best they can. I imagine a 165g like his too up nearly an entire sheet.

Makes sense but my 120gal Reef Savvy tank 48x27.5 isn't exactly a small either. Well hopefully I get it this month!

Thanks everyone for your comments - we are working feverishly to expand our capacity to knock down wait times (see below).

I was told mine was being programmed Jan 16th. I do not have it yet.

Hi Jolt- what is your order number?

Crazy I wonder how they determine who gets there lid first? I ordered mine Jan 19th

We've been shipping the vast majority of orders within 6 weeks, and we're on track to knock that back down to 4 weeks very soon. Our target ship time is 2-3 weeks. We've recently hired additional support staff to meet this goal. The order of lids is typically determined by the complexity of design. Lids with no customization for standard tanks ship fairly quickly; complex lids for custom tanks with large amounts of customization take much longer due to the programming and measuring involved.

Probably based off material needs. They are going to try and cut lids as they use full sheets of material before just chewing through sheet after sheet and having to store the scraps to try and use later. Want to maximize that material as best they can. I imagine a 165g like his too up nearly an entire sheet.

This is one consideration, but the design component is the long pole in the tent.

How are people's lids holding up? Any bowing? Any condensation issues? I have one made by another person and it looks like a potato chip. Very similar design. He actually started making these before Artfully Acrylic did. He used acrylic though and I think that was the issue.

Their product is high-quality and I definitely recommend it. Nothing else on the market comes even close...or exists. My BRS frame worked was but was cheap looking. The aluminum frame left residue on my rimless aquarium glass that I can't even remove. What a nightmare! ClearView is made of Lexan I think. There is significant condensation on the frame so it drips a lot when you remove it, but this will depend on your water level, mine is pretty high. From the outside you don't really notice it.

The ClearView lid looks professional. Mine fit well but has a 1/4" bow in the back so there is a small gap, which is unfortunate. Not an huge issue. The cause was my aquarium bowing 1/16" of an inch plus the fact that the right side of my aquarium is 1/16" deeper than the left side resulted in this issue. When you factor in their tolerance for the accuracy of the cuts, you get a 1/4" gap. There is some tension from the mesh. ArtFully offered to re-do the mesh if I paid shipping there and back. To me it wasn't worth the cost but I appreciated the offer.

What's interesting is that the geometry used for the bump-out of the feeding window eliminated any bowing at the front of the lid. I think a triangle in the back or a square bump-out would help solve this problem.

Pictures or it never arrived

Here you go. I haven't removed the protective sheets from the screen yet. And yes, my wife wants this setup and out of the kitchen.

Does anyone have one of these for the SCA 66g? It looks like they make some for SCA tanks, but not that size, which of course is the size I have. I know you can give them custom measurements, but if they've already made for others, they'd likely have the numbers already.

Hi, this hasn't been an oft ordered lid type. We will generally request dimension verification from the first several customers for a given branded tank anyway to ensure the best fit. We are happy to help you through providing the dims we need in order to make you your very own ClearView Lid if you'd like.

How far do these lids recess into the aquarium? I'm trying to plan for my overflow height within a rimless aquarium. Thanks!

Lids customarily sit 1/4" into the aquarium. The lid overall is 3/8" thick and the tabs are the top 1/8".

If your overflow is at least 1/8" under tank top we can also adjust tab thickness to compensate if you like.

Hi Gary, I see you ordered on 3/3/17. Your lid won't take full lead time with no special cutouts, but will take a bit before we can get it scheduled on the CNC and nested on a sheet. We can't give you an exact cut date at this time, but will shoot you an email update once your lid is ready to cut.

Our machine/equipment issues have been fixed and we have a lot of lids already nested and cutting now which will put us AHEAD of quoted lead times very soon.

I have the SCA 66g. My tank was off square so I made sure to take all kinds of measurements and they nailed it for a perfect fit.

I plan on ordering a lid soon for my 36"x36" rimless tank and have a question. I assume we measure the internal dimensions of the glass and not the exterior dimensions?
