Not sure if this is a good place to post this(sorry if it should have been somewhere else) I’ve been slacking the last few weeks on cleaning the glass on my son’s tank. Now the magnet by itself isn’t cutting it. Would the scraper attachment help? I’ve never used a scraper before. Look at the pictures and you’ll get an idea of what I’m dealing with ‍

What’s the best way to get the hard algae off the glass? I have. A few snails that help a bit but not enough

I hate coraline. For this reason.
A razor at just the right angle. It's this a glass tank?

Home made: PVC with angle cut on end to hold a razor blade at an angle
Too much pressure and you will pop a seam with hand scrub pads

I have a flipper and it helps a lot with that and even deep caked on purple coralline.

But. The old fashioned stick with a metal blade attachment are faster and easier for tough jobs

Kent used to make a very good scraper. It looks like it’s been rebranded under Sera

There’s a lot of cheapo ones on Amazon and eBay, they use actual razor blades. I bought one, the blades literally are razor sharp, thin and bend easily, and they rust after a few uses

This Kent/sera blade is strong enough to scrape algae but not be dangerous. And it lasts for years.

I didn’t even think about using one of those

Wonder if the scrub daddy might work
The Mr Clean magic erasers work wonders. Like he said get the original with nothing added to it. I could not believe how easy it cleaned my tank and with no fear of scratching.
