Hey guys I’ve had my tank around a year or so and just had a really bad outbreak of bubble algae that filled my whole tank basically and killed all my coral , my fish are still as happy as could be by my rock work is just covered in bubbles I’d like to keep the same rock work but just covered it stuff. Would it be a god idea to take out the rock and pressure wash the bubble algae or would it be okay to go out and by a new rock work setup

IMHO, keep your rock. You would have to break down the entire system and start over to get rid of the spore's. Don't pressure wash . Pull the rock manually clean with brushes ect in salt water, and add emerald crab based on how big the tank is. Manually remove anything the crab can't handle. If you have a big enough tank try the one spot fox face. Mine manages the bubble algae in my tank

Pressure washing them may kill and remove many of the beneficial bacteria and possibly cause another cycle. Replacing them with dry rock will definitely cause another cycle. Take the rocks out and scrub as much as you can off and then spot treat areas you can't get to with hydrogen peroxide in a syringe.

I've had bubble algae for the longest time and have been unable to eradicate them but I think I have a fish or 2 that's eating them since they haven't gotten out of control and taken over.
