Curious if folks are adding Seachem Prime to the washer during final rinse cycle when cleaning felt filter socks? I do a wash cycle adding a little bleach, followed by a couple rinse cycles. Is there a different additive I should be using?

If you air dry them before use the chlorine will evaporate and there is no need for prime

I just wash mine in hot tap water. I don't even see the value in them. I use batten meant for stuffing pillows ect. In the next stage. $ 18 buys me enough for at least 20 water changes. I just throw it out. It collects way more than the sock, and no cleaning

When I was using them that's exactly what I did. That being said, I'm going to steer clear of socks in the future if I can find something of equal or greater value with filtration (which won't be difficult).
