I just found pyramid snails today and I cleaned both clams off very well. The derasa did not have any snails but the squamosa had dozens. I put new sand inside these deli dishes that I use to culture fruit flies. Do you think the top could keep out the snails while letting enough water and light through? I have them near the powerhead flow.

I am not sure of the lid is needed, but need to look and clan them every few days until you no longer see the snails. I would break off all the scuttles so you can clean them better. You need deeper sand, so they won't attach to the bottom of your container. This is how I deal with these parasites in my clams.
