looks like it'll be a great specimen once it's acclimated and opens up fully!

edit: just as a PSA, these guys LOVE light, like more than most corals in the hobby, and soak up calcium, even as little babies. I know this is a show-off thread and not a how-to, but just since this looks like a new clam into a relatively new tank I gotta give the usual PSA.

My derasa today, a bit over a year with me. How's yours doing, have a top-down shot of it?

Hoping to try out a clam again in the upcoming macro refugium!

She’s hiding on the right here back in February

Her name is Clamantha
Beautiful crocea and great name. Non-clam question, what's that yellowish rounded coral (SPS?) to the left of it in the first photo? between the acro and the seriatopora.

That’ll be cool!!! What kind of clam are you gonna get? :)
Not sure yet. I'd like to try a hippopus again, but space is a premium down there so maybe end up with a maxima or crocea. Woukd love a squammie, but again, space.

My long term plan is to sell off some of my more expensive LPS e.g fancy torch, indos & rainbow acans funnel the capital into more clams for an SPS/clam only tank.
Fascinating things!
