I bought 3 chromis, and a tiny scooter blenny sunday ( 4 days ago) put them in my qt tank running .25 copper at the moment. they looked good, except i spectinf them in the bag before i vought them the one had a small spot on it.. but I've seen that happen when you catch fish w a net. it is looking way worate and bigger, plus another one has an odd dark coloring on both sides down one the bottom edge of it. of the three, one is Def bigger.. that one has no marks. chromis are not aggressive, except now that the one looks bad it is getting g chased a bit 20220505_201516.jpg 20220505_201516.jpg 20220505_201436.jpg 20220505_201446.jpg

That's uronema. A highly contagious and deadly disease. Begin treatment immediately with metroplex. Also, almost always, Chromis groups will wittle themselves down to one. Not always, but close to it.

It's the one you need. Get it as soon as you can, uronema kills quickly. Unfortunately, most of the time that the sores become visible it will be too late. Excellent detailed information on the disease here:

If anything, I would be done there because they have uronema in their system. Can't get it out of a system by going fallow. Has to be treated with medications.

To treat your current fish:

Get metroplex and treat per directions on the container for two weeks
Once that treatment has completed, I would strongly advise monitoring them in the QT tank for 30 or more days to ensure no signs of further uronema
Don't beat yourself up or feel bad if you lose some or all of these fish; uronema is a brutal disease.

Wishing you the best in this awful situation. For a group of fish that do well together, I suggest pajama cardinals. I have a group of six in a 55 and they get along smashingly.

RUBY RALLY PRO WOULD WORK
Often affecting chromis and damsels, It is treatable at the point where you have it. You want to treat with formalin based medication. Quick Cure is very effective with this, starting with a 45 minute formalin bath followeed by treatment in a separate quarantine setting. With ruby Rally, you can give a 90 minute bath with aeration and then treat also until signs are gone
If theyre eating , you can soak their food in seachem metroplex for 2 weeks of feedings.
two weeks should be long enough for treatment and no need to go fallow in display tank

so should I just flush the two showing signs?
is the third still worth keeping in qt?

It does not always accelerate quickly and yours is developing, not yet overtaken the fish
