So I’m thinking of trying to add chromis ans had a couple of questions about peoples experiences:

1. Petco (I’m going to QT) has TWO options for chromis: Chromis Viridis and Chromis sp. What is the difference between these and any experience with how well they do.

2. Are there any quarantine concerns specific to these fish? Copper sensitivity etc?

I have a trio of blue-green chromis (sp) i picked up from petco. The viridis is the 'green chromis'. TBH they look the same and i wonder if the employees would even be ablebto tell them apart at time of sale. They have been awesome super peaceful and really active. Had them 3 ish years. Cant speak to the copper tolerance as i only do observational qt for a 2 weeks, and mine were super healthy, didnt need treated. I have heard that uronemia is a huge concern with chromis, so def watch for signs of that too. The sp variety i have have gotten to be really pretty blue, and when the heavy blues turn on in the evening the differences between the male and females is a little more obvious. They also get really 'schooly' in the evening and get fun to watch. Very subtile beautiful fish.
