Porites in my experience arent hard corals to keep except for those that come on the christmas tree rock. The porites in the first two pics (green on the top left) is actually frags of a porites from a different tank. The original christmas tree rock deteriorated and died off.

The porites I have are extremely light loving, flow loving (they need to be battered by the flow from all directions), and they grow really slowly.
