Hi all.
Been in the aquarium hobby for many years, but first time in saltwater.
Bought a used Red Sea Reefer 350 (old version).
Only bought the aquarium, stand, sump and lights.
I'm gonna do heavy research, just like i do in freshwater.
And figured i would get it cycling while i do my research, but i'll need a return pump.
And having a hard time figuring out how to correctly size which pump to get.
Thought about the red sea dc pump 5500, because i also had been looking at their skimmer, so i could control both with one controller.
But that goes Min 2000L/ph to 5500L/ph (530 -1450g/ph)
And the minimum 2000L is already, 5.4 times my volume, and that seems alot for my bare minimum (i know alot say 5-10 volume in flow, but would i rather not have something with a lower minimum and still could hit the 5+ times aswell?)
As i said its a Red sea reefer 350, so a 275L (73gal) display with a 70L (18gal) sump. total water volume 345L (91gal)
