Great pics Rev, but with your skills they should have much less blue in them. I usually use the same white balance setting as set for my main lights. Shooting in raw will allow you to remove a great deal of the blue.

Hey thanks everyone!! It was fun for sure.

As far as shooting these, I used a Canon Rebel XT and a 100mm Canon Macro Lens. Most of the shots were taken in AV mode at an ISO of 800. No pumps or anything that would make the coral move or the pic would be blurry.

Chris - I could have done better on the color, but that was the fun of shooting these, and this is what they looked like or pretty close with actinics only. Now I need to try and do it to get a better lok like you suggest with less blue.

How did you set the white balance? Was it a custom setting or one of the presets?
