chaeto in fluval 13.5 question

I'm looking to add a fuge and this will be the first time. I have the Fluval 13.5 and debating between using Chamber 1 or 2. In Chamber 1 I have an inTank basket and could use the bottom or just use Chamber 2 which has only the heater in there. Any recommendations? Is it better to have chaeto in a basket?
I have the light, only complaint is if I try Chamber 1 some light bleds through the fake partition wall into the display vs if I mount it in the middle for Chamber 2.

I just found it, lol. Sorry for taking so long. They have not been active for a very long time, so they probably won't respond.

I’ve been running a refugium in the second chamber for about 2 years. Ive been running it so long that I can’t remember if it made a difference or not. Yes it does leave some chaeto pieces in your display from time to time but if you syphon your sand then it shouldn’t be a big deal. One big benefit, atleast for me, is that I have many copepods in my tank which is always a hood sign and feeds my fish and corals at times.

Not exactly the same but similar, I put my chaeto in the second chamber of my Flex 9.

@WalkerLoves_TheOcean , @StephDaReefer , how is that thing mounted. Maybe I am just blind, but I cannot tell! Looks pretty slick directly up against the glass like that!

I have that LED in my garage somewhere but I threw away the bracket haha hence my interest in the mounting system. Maybe 3M double sided tape haha

Mine is in the middle chamber. My heater is in the same chamber as the return pump.
