I've seen them in person too and they are stunning!

My wallet (i.e. Husband) says I can get the Swissguard only! ;)

$900 doesnt seem too bad....

I WANT YOUR JOB! Whatever you do, I don't care!

jk

$900 is crazyyyyy for that thing. Might be one you have to see in person. Not to mention it better do some tricks, play dead, and all that stuff :)

I take that back - at 2.5in - It better be able to jump out of the tank like shamu, do some flips, splash me in the face and then wag its tail for food!

LOL I was only considering the $900 being "not too bad" only because I thought I remember it being over $1500 last time I saw it on Divers Den. These things are RARE in the hobby, and they are very hard to collect needing rebreathers and diving down over 600ft I thought?

We are seeing more and more of the deep water species these days. Maybe I can get a used decompression chamber and make a tank out of it....

Liopropoma Carmabi... one of my faves.

I last saw them on Wholesale lists from Dynasty for $1000+ 10-12 years ago...

$900 is a steal! :snicker:

Something that hasn't been mentioned on this thread yet is that they are known to be quite reclusive. While $900 isn't too bad considering what a stunning fish it is, I would hate to spend that much and only see it in the shadows once in a while. For $900 big ones, I would want it out front juggling for me when I get home from work every day. lol
