I have a neon toadstool. Today I noticed a long thin thread coming from it with a tiny neon piece segmented down the thread periodically, maybe about 4 or five pieces on the thread. It seems almost to be feeling how much room it has around it. It has never done this before. Has anyone seen this on a toadstool?? Look closely on my photos, there’s a tiny clear thread with teeny little neon pieces on it. Swaying around above it. My cleaner shrimp touched it with one of its feelers and it seemed to contract a tiny bit. I feel it wants to check how much room it has to grow.

I’ve had it for almost 2 years I think. It is very happy. It just got out of a shedding and I feel like it is figuring out how much room it has to grow. It’s weird. I have never seen this before. I looked closely and the thread is definitely coming from the flesh of the toadstool and nothing else. It’s almost like it stretched out one of its polyps super thin, very long

What do you mean by "feelers?" Not sure if this coral can do what a "Galaxea" coral can do. Polyps yes, "feelers." no.

Slime might be another story. (damaged)

Hi, I just call it a feeler because I believe it was trying to feel out how much space it had around it to grow. It was very thin and clear with teeny glowing green pieces othe same color as the polyp heads . Look closely at my photo. Above it. Look for the tiny green dots. It wasn’t damaged very happy. Almost seemed like it stretched one of its polyps out. It did this from the same spot several times for 2 days.
