Got a mushroom from the store that didn't have a frag plug. Can mushroom feet be glued directly to a rock? Same question for leather as well.
Both slime up so much it is very hard. As suggested, a small bowl with some rubble will work. You can also loosely rubberband the leather to a frag plug. Don't do it very tight because the rubberband will cut thru the leather. If the leather is small enough, you can just lodge it between a few pieces of rubble.

actually, I've always been lucky with glueing mushrooms, I can get it glued maybe 9 out of 10 times.

I have no luck with leathers, they won't glue for me, so I use twine to loosely tie it down to a rock, it usually takes about 2 weeks for it to root to the rock. (as mentioned above, rubber bands will cut through the leather)
