Im having a really bad hair algae bloom in my anemone tank and wanted to know if I could get a conch to help deal with it. I've had issues with my carpet anemone eating conchs in my other tank but this tank only has flower anemones. Would it be okay?

Flower anemones won't kill mobile molluscs, or really any mobile thing that has a shell or exoskeleton and is larger than a copepod.

Tuxedo urchins may nibble a bit of coraline, but they won't decimate it. Probably a good thing, really, to help keep the tank's rock porous.

Would a long spine sea urchin work? I have one in another tank that I could move

I have both conches and urchin in my anenome system with carpets. It has never been a problem for me.

I totally screwed myself here..

Went to to check the tank and carpet is eating my Halloween urchin...
Oh dang, I'm sorry to hear that. I've had my carpet eat 2 conches in the last week lol
