Yes but better to add extra OR90 for better cover so you not need to go with 2 units and it will save you lots of money , it should look like this

Hi I have a “L” shaped tank and would like your recommendation on how many I would need.

5’ x 20” x 14”

If it is 5' in each direction then 3 would be ideal but 2 would work. If the total is 5' then 2 would be more than enough. I have 2 on a 6' tank and I can grow anything anywhere in it.

I have a 6' Aqueon 210 tank that has 2 plastic supports across the top. with the added height and wide spread of these lights could I get away with 2 of the full size v4's without too much shadowing from the supports? Wondering if 2 v4's vs 3 of the compacts would be better. Thanks

How wide are the supports? I would contact Orphek with the dimensions and width of the supports. They should be able to tell you what would work best.

Very interested in these lights and looking for suggestions on what configuration would work best for a SPS dominate 150 that measures 60"x24'x24. I was thinking 2 V4s length wise or 3 V4 Compacts layed out front to back.

I like your Compact idea, but for an sps tank I would go with 4.

My tank is 72 x 40, and I’m planning on going with 5 of the full size v4’s in the same configuration.

Man, you guys are going WAY overboard. Two full size would be good but still overboard. I went with one full size and one compact for SPS dominant on my 55x26x24 tank and it would do fine with an extra 5 inches of width. Ad an OR120 if you need a little more front to back coverage and you'd be golden.

Agree. Have 2 on a 72x 18 x 30 and is more than enough to grow anything anywhere. Great lights.

Thanks for the replies. @jschultzbass what did you use to hang your lights?
I used two 48" pieces of this: https://8020.net/1575.html
Then I drilled holes on the ends and used the hanging nuts that came with the lights as you can see in the picture. On the big light it comes with the hanging nuts and then two T-slot/thumb nuts which hold the light together. These T-slot nuts slide right into the aluminum rails. To hang the big fixture just replace the hanging nut with a standard nut and the fixture will slide right onto the rails. For the little fixture I needed to order 4 extra T-slot nuts which I got from here: https://www.jwwinco.com/en-us/produ...NeFrXvq8tjFuskGBrrxOEpjE95xuym-MaAsBiEALw_wcB
This is because the compact only comes with 4 hanging nuts and you need the T-slot/thumb nut to slide it into the rail.
The bolts and nuts they use are sized M4 and if you need different length bolts can be picked up at any hardware store.

@jschultzbass thanks! I really like the way your light frame came out. Is that one of the OR120s mounted on the back? If so, which one and how do you like it?
Yup, the blue OR120. I like it a lot. Adds some light to back and makes the corals pop. This is the Gen1 (Gen2s just came out) and isn't dimmable or anything but I don't care about that. It's hooked to my apex and just goes on and off for a little extra light during the day.

@Orphek Are these OR90 attached to the mounting arm kit? Please provide some detail. I got the Atlantik V4 Gen2 with the mounting arm kit. Would be interested to add 2 OR90 to them. TIA
