I have a 42g display, tons of rock, tons of hiding spots. I want a heavily stocked tank, I have a fuge section, protein skimmer, media reactor for carbon, and 15watt UV.

Randal Goby
Hector Goby
Yellow Clown Goby
Discordipinna Goby
Helfrich's Firefish Goby

Will these all co exist without issue? Id like 5 gobies all tiny of course, I current have a pair of frostbites about 1" each.

I think you might get away with it, have a good deepish sand bed and feed a bit more if you notice aggression. I'm pretty sure all the species are in different genuses and so are less likely to fight. I wouldn't add anymore fish though and if possible, add the gobies at the same time

The Randall's and Discordipinna may not get along since they both occupy the same space in the tank and have a similar body shape. However, with enough rock work and areas for them to each pick their own spot, it could work, especially since both tend to stay fairly small.

I plan on adding a few more.

so i’m being extremely critical about fish size, gobies avg 1.5”?

What else can I add that will bring a lot of life into the tank? I also plan on a heavy stock of coral mostly LPS/softies.

I would go with some larger invertebrates that add lots of interest but not much bioload
Could we see a photo of the tank?

Will have a few pics for you all tomorrow, all lights are off currently.

I always have a cleaner shrimp in mind, a few sexy shrimp, and a small red starfish. The gobies won’t pick on the sexy will they?

No they won't as far as I know. The only genus that might are valenciennea sand sifting gobies. Although I have heard of cleaner shrimp eating sexy shrimp but very rarely

Personally I love gobies, they have the temperament that I like. Just keep in mind, that gobies hide, they don't swim around much, so if you have a tank full of gobies, you will often look at your tank and see no fish.

You could consider something like a Springeri Damselfish. Bright blue, not as aggressive as other Damselfish, and eats flatworms. Mine are always out swimming and add a cool color splash.
