That tank is 3 months old? Rock looks younger than that to me.

You know surface disturbance isn’t a bad thing right? It helps with gas exchange in your system.
Yes the tank is 3 month old. I know that surface disturbance is a good thing and what I mean is the amount disturbance in the tank are not enough to make bubbles.

When you disturb the sand do bubbles float to the surface? I would say to use a bulb syringe and blow them off and see if they return. If you don't have a ton of random flow in the tank, it's possible for rocks and sand to still have bubbles after 3 months. If there is any point when you are not there that the return pump could have sucked in air, thats also a possibility. Do you have an ATO? If so is the "Low" low enough to allow air to get sucked up before it fills up?

if you have no microbubbles, you may want to add a nano powerhead such as Koralia nano or Jebao RW-4 to add current and disburse the bubbles. They appear entrapped under rock ledges due to lack of flow stream

My ato is a bottle with two tube, not the fancy one, and yes the bubbles come back pretty quickly, around 3h

Microalgae can also create bubbles from releasing oxygen, which is what I assume the other commenter was getting at with their vague response, but with the amount of bubbles, I would expect there to be some visible algae formation but its possible it is some microorganism creating the bubbles. Either way more flow will help dislodge the bubbles.

are you seeing the bubbles coming out of the return nozzle? If so, you could have a loose fitting/hose from that is drawing air maybe? I've had that happen on my biocube.

There is not bubble on the nozzle, it’s a simple aio aquarium, do not have much tubing.
