Hi all
I bought this anemone (around 5 cm) 4 weeks ago and this week I started to notice white rings around the tips (compare image). The anemone itself has never moved (and I assume it likes the space) and one of my two clownfish attached to it after only 1.5 weeks. The light is 30 cm above the anemone.
My 80l nano tank is 5 months old and the parameters are stable (T = 25.5 °C, NH4 less than 0.025 ppm, NO2 = 0 ppm, NO3 = 1 ppm, KH = 7, pH = 8.0, phosphate = less than 0.02 ppm and salinity = 1.025 sg). On this tank I am using an AI Prime 16 HD (schedule below).
Since this is my first nano reef and my third tank in general, I'm wondering if the anemone is missing anything? Could it be stressed by my clownfish (which is in the anemone 80% of the time)? Do I need to increase the light?
How often do you generally feed the anemone? I feed half a pellet from ARKA once a week.
Many thanks in advance and greetings from Switzerland
Mattia
