I love taking pics! I feel it adds so much to the hobby that I was missing out on. I maybe used my camera a handful of times since I bought it almost 9 years ago. Once I decided to take coral pics is when I found how much I enjoy taking pics.

If you look back to the first half of my thread I wasn't using lightroom and you can see the quality difference in pics. Lightroom is so easy to use. With it being so easy to use, it's also very easy to take your pics to an unreal level of saturation. One of the good things of using lightroom often is you can start to easily tell in other peoples pics what they did to their pics.

I get a lot of messages on taking pictures and I always suggest using lightroom. I even message people sometimes who take good pics but could use a little more help and suggest they use lightroom and see what it can do to their pics.

It’s even more necessary since Microsoft really dumbed down the editing abilities of its “photos” app. They used to let you tweak color, exposure, sharpness, and a bunch of other stuff. Now it’s just a bunch of filters, exposure, and saturation. No color tweaking ability.

My little Lady in pink isn't very pink but I am happy to see how it's progressing.

So what do when you put it into Lightroom? What do you tweak?

Not a whole lot but I will give you an example.
I shoot in raw so the original pics are very blue, like if you use your phone with no filter. Every pic is different with what I do. Sometimes there are too many shadows or the tips on the coral are blown out, so I turn down highlights.

This is the JKR Rainbow before I do anything.
This is the raw file loaded into lightroom

These were the settings for this pic.

Great shot.
How do you get that fluo green nicely on film?
Im not sure. It’s a really bright sunset milli. IMO it’s one of the nicest sunsets I have seen.

How long for it to grow to that size?
I have had it one year. It was a little larger but I sold a couple frags and I chopped off a big piece to grow in the tank with radions.

I got this RCA Baton Rouge from @FarmerTy a couple months ago. I am really sad to see I am losing the green streaks that made it look grafted. The color is a shade of red I haven't seen before and I am really liking it.

Lol, some people would die to get the green out of their tank.

I agree but the green in this one made it look grafted, which I don't think you see too often.

How much par do you have it in?
I remember you saying it looks best in low par, so I have moved it around a couple times to try and find a good spot. The t5 tank just has too much par and it was turning it into a pink color. I now have it in tucked into the corner of the radion tank getting 250 par. With moving it to that lowest par spot I could find, it's getting that dark red color again.
