I was just asking Ty about a frag he had today and it turns out it was the TSA Purple Haze....lol

This one is the Lro purple haze. I have the TSA one also but maybe they are the same thing but I have them in different tanks so it’s hard to tell.

Very interesting on the melafix guys I may give it a try. Nice aside is you aren't diluting your salinity as much using the higher strength.

I tested marine Melafix over a year ago and liked it so I switched. I believe UWC Expel is the same product, just more concentrated.

Per directions for both the cost comes out the same.

I followed directions..........maybe I'll try a heavier dose as some have been doing.

Try the pond version instead of the marine. The pond version is the most concentrated and should bring your cost down even more.

Is Melafix the same as Expel? I tried Expel twice recently. It wouldn’t kill pods at recommended dosage. I’d like to get away from using Bayer. But haven’t found anything I trust as much.

I have no idea what’s in Expel and have never used it.

I used 2ml per cup of Melafix pond and it killed pods immediately.

Thanks Bubba, but I am on an acro purchasing freeze at the moment. As you know, my acropora frags were nut-punched by fluconazole, and I am giving the tank a few months to stabilize before I make any new additions. I've checked your spreadsheet and you definitely have a few things I want!
