Not to get in the middle of a discussion, but can't any form of stress potentially cause corals and nems to release zooxanthellae? I know bright light is a major cause, but corals bleach from all sorts of things.
OP, how is the nem doing? It honestly just looks like it's pooping to me, and scrunching up is normal for that.
