My current plan for the future of this tank is to get Berghia nudibranchs for the tank to help take care of the rampant aiptasia. After that I want to either get a flame scallop or a derasa clam and also a rock flower anenome. I do still have some room for corals but I do not know what else I want to get at the moment! If anyone has suggestions feel free to let me know!

If your in the hunt you should check the SBB sale thread for the upcoming live sale . Great corals and great bunch of people that hang there. Met many of my R2R friends on the thread(s).

Honestly I’d ask what do you like? My tank is a mixed reef with some sps but lps dominant mainly cause I love Gonis and “Euphyllia “

I am and have always been a massive Euphyllia lover! Hammers and frogspawns/Octospawns are what got me into to keeping corals. The way they move and flow in the water is my absolute favorite thing about my tank! On the other hand I am a anenome lover by heart, but I don't have the tank or space to have bubbletips and other types of nems ( other then rock flowers ) So that dream is put on hold until I get another tank.

Weekly update! 9/27/2024

Hey all! I’ve been away for little bit because I had quite the busy weekend! Anyways the tank is doing amazingly! I’ve finally got the parameters to be more stable and fixed my diatom problem on my sand bed! Phosguard, water changes, and going all blues for about 2 weeks and they’re all gone! My alk is finally lowered to 10 DKH instead of 15 a few weeks ago, my calcium has been fully stable but currently my magnesium is a little high at around 1500 but the euphillyas are loving it! My mandarin has chunked up quite a bit and I have a large population of copepods in the tank. I fed the corals for the first time in a while a few days ago and they’ve puffed up like crazy! The aiptasia problem is still getting out of hand but I should have my burghia by next week! I hope they eradicate all of these pests!!!

WEEKLY UPDATE! 10/6/2024

SO MUCH GOODNESS!!! I’ve finally got 5 medium sized berghia to start culling my massive population of aiptasia, just at the right time! They were being to really blow up and take over. My back wall is growing mass amounts of coralline from green to lavender, burgundy and of course purple!!! I’m so excited to finally have coralline growth again! My parameters have stabilized a lot and barely move and my fish are all happy and chunky, especially my mandarin goby! I’m very excited to see how much my tank grows and what else I can add in a few months once the aiptasia is finally gone!
