I need to break down my tank. Its a 70G AIO. I glued and cemented pieces to make it one giant structure but....There is no way its coming out in one piece, way to heavy and the risk of it breaking.

Do I leave the water in the tank and try to break the pieces where glued? Or, Drain the tank, line it with cardboard and try to break it apart? I over engineered this thing badly. I'm hoping the glue and cement joints just fracture but I don't want to break the tank or cause a flood. I'll try to post a picture later.

I'd try the thickest layer of cardboard/cloth that you could fit underneath it. Maybe a thicker material to protect the sides too.

Depending on how long the tank was set up for the joints may not be as hard to separate as you may think. I had a 7 year old tank I just took down and the rock was solid when it went in but after the years it basically just came right apart when I tried to move it.
