Hi all! Brand new to reef aquariums.
My goal is a fish/coral tank.
I have a 60g cube that is not plumbed.

Here is my current supply list goal:
Filter- Tidal 110
Heater- dual Eheim 100w
Heater controller- Inkbirds 308 wifi
Powerhead- maxspect xf330 cloud
Powerhead- vorTech mp40QD (someday)
Battery backup- ?
Lights- orbit marine w/loop
Salt water refractor- milwaukee ma887
pH/Salinity tester- hanna or kactoily

Fish plan:
2 clowns
Flame hawkfish
Gobi
Blenny
Gramma
And maybe 1 or 2 more

Coral plan will be in the future and less immediate, unless that’s a bad idea.

Would love to hear all you pros comment on how this looks? Am I missing anything?

Seems like a really good plan, inverts are underrated, get more hermits and snails than you think.

I have a 60 cube also. Plan sounds good. I would go ahead and at least decide on the type of coral you want to keep, as this will greatly affect your aquascape. Are you using live rock or dry rock?

I would go with 2 200 watt heaters and tone them down so if 1 fails then you can put the other up more.

I think a protein skimmer would be good for that tank instead of the hob filter, hob filter don't provide near as much benefit as a skimmer does.

Thanks! I only worry about how they’ll do with a hawkfish. I think the tank is large enough to support em. Hermits are definitely on the list

Flame hawks can be 50/50 with hermits in a large tank. They’ll no doubt hunt down any small ones they can find, but you should probably still wind up with a couple hermits in the end.

I used to have a puffer and dragon wrasse with tons of hermit's and snails, I just kept adding, some of them kinda learned the ropes and after a while the ones that survived kinda hung around figuring out how to hide and eat at night
