Zoomed a lot so kind of grainy. I’m thinking these might be the same species different color morphs. They’re touching with no negative reaction.

Took a couple more top downs today.

My attempt at mounting an acro laying the branch flat. I’ll never do that again. It took FOREVER to encrust and form new branching spots

Trying to upload some test videos and they’re coming up on YouTube super grainy and compressed

Hmmm. I never posted anything that high of quality to notice perhaps

Those of you with calcium reactors. At what point do you replace your media. In the last year I’ve gone though half my media. Is it time to take it apart, give it a rinse and top off? Or let it ride a while longer?

Hard to believe the skeleton of this bubble coral is only the size of a golf ball. It inflates about 8-9” in diameter. Presses up against the glass. This was THE coral that made me want a reef tank before I was ever in the hobby

This (what I believe is...) red prostrata is such a looker. Got it as a brown dud from River City Aquatics in Austin TX, and it has really turned into a gem. It’s almost sandbed level in the corner.

To think at one point this tank was struggling to the point you almost gave up on acros in it. Some of these corals are now show stoppers. Great work!

Thanks man! There’s a reason I’m anti-no-water-change (for me anyway, other people can do whatever they want). Water changes and low alk are what fixed it!

I don’t actually I’ve heard nothing but good things but have been hesitant to look too much into them. People say this hobby isn’t for the cheap but I buck that trend. I absolutely hate spending money

I went cheap, UV that is. Believe it or not I run a pond UV on my system for water clarity/algae issues. Danner pondmaster, 30w. Works very well.

Great stuff in this thread! Thanks for sharing!

I also see why 90% of your pics are from above... I just saw the photo of the algae growing on the front of your tank!

Haha, love to see a "low-maintenance" SPS tank working like you got yours! Good Shiiiiieett!

Thanks! Ha ha I think. I actually run the algae magnet every day. I hate the glass being hazy. I just tend to find the acros really show their best colors from above. You catch none of the shaded parts.
