Hi guys, the marking on his face just disappeared today.

He is eating and acting normal. Thanks for all your input.

I will do a water test just in case. My nitrates have been a bit on the higher side this month probably 40ppm.

Regarding food I usually feed 3x nori (algae sheet) per week, frozen mysis soaked on vitachem, ocean nutrition pellets and flakes once in a while, small pieces of squid as well once in a while.

I will get back to putting the algae sheet all day, i was thinking of getting some live macroalgae on main tank so he can graze as much as he wants.

Anyway thanks for your help!
Hi, unrelated but i was wondering if you had any pics or videos of the gunthers wrasse? And what has been your experience with them (assuming you're talking about Pseudolaburs guentheri). I will be getting one later this week and i've heard they can be aggressive but keen to hear if anyone has had a different experience

Oh man the Gunther's wrasse was a complete pest, and that's the exact species I had (a pair of them).

Very aggressive, difficult to get once in the tank. I put him in, regretted as he was bullying a lot of the other fish, very dominant on feeding, so Inl had to work hard to get him out of the tank.

There are many very nice wrasses you could add to a tank, I wouldn't add a Gunther's ever again.

They have decent colouration, and I just added them cause I fished them off the coast.

Thanks, that’s pretty much what i figured. Best i can tell they behave identical to thalassoma wrasse. You said you had them a while ago, you don’t still have any pictures or videos of them you could share do you?
