Anyone know what this wound could be from? Is it a disease - it looks like an open wound with white strings flowing from it - not aware of anything that hurt it or could hurt it in my tank

Could have got an arm in a powerhead...? If you are worried about it being a disease you could always snip that arm off and quarantine.

Blue linkia 's are known to get this cotton like fungus stuff that eventually causes the death of it, I have successfully amputated an affected arm of one before and it lived. I cant tell you exactly what causes it, or what it is, but I have seen it on multiple occasions, so I know it's a common issue with them.
Maybe someone else will chime in with more experience and knowledge on this problem with linkias

I have read several threads lately that stated linkias will last 6 to 12 months then their body starts to fall apart. How lang have you had yours?
