I am finding that it is worth trying to find an LFS with a nice coral selection with reasonable prices. They're having a hard time competing with online shops so you can find some good deals without the shipping cost which would be less if you were getting one or 2 corals.
There’s really not anything too close in my area locally. Wish there was. Fish are a mix of PetCo and online. And the corals that get online from live sales mostly, are generally better deals than anything in my immediate vicinity. If there were I’d use them instead.

My local PetCo had those exact cluster of blastos and I bought them. However, I am retired and work one day a week in that PetCo to help them with their aquariums, especially saltwater, so I know what is in there. Also, I inspect the shipments when they come in. ;). Just look at everything in the tank and choose wisely. Most of the comments here are correct; if the store branch isn’t managed properly, just move on. :(

I'm still angry at Petco for telling me in the early 90s to stock 1" of fish per gallon in a 29 with no live rock. Never again will I go there. Yes, I'm holding a grudge (by proxy) in the name of many dead fish.
I'm still mad at dad for telling me all women will find me hansom :(
