It is just when the lights are on and the jewel damsel goes near the clowns territory

How big is the tank? You can't really limit aggression when it comes to damsels defending their territory. You can try rearranging your rockwork to give everyone a chance to find a new area.

They’re in the same family if I recall. My female clown killed a yellowtail when she started to scape her territory, in a 40 breeder. How large is your tank? I’ve heard mirrors can help as mentioned but ultimately you may have to remove the damsel or the clown. Clowns can be super nasty (mine also killed an algae blenny) when they are defending their home.

Can you add multiple jewel damsels in one tank to spread the aggression
I have no idea honestly. The issue is that they may also bicker amongst themselves. I know people like to toss a ton of African cichlids together to spread aggression. But I don’t know if damsels would work out like African cichlids.
