Got a nice call from local fish store today. They said they had a nice birthday present for me . So I got a lil bimac today after the "long" task of acclimation he was just hanging out on top Id the rocks and I dangled a decorator crab above him . He did nothing , until the crab dropped to the rock. Almost instantly our new friend took this live decorator crab and started ripping him apart. Now he's just chillin in the front bottom corner all happy. Guess plenty of hiding places and an offering of live food go a long way. Have always done this and none have every hidden on me for days. Give your new friends a nice treat when you meet them and they will not be so shy

I wish he was a blue ring I had one not too long ago, but he passed on. Been searching everywhere for a replacement. Fascinating creatures , would still love another one Id anyone can get me one

Yeah I bet they are cool but you want catch me with one. I have kids plus I like my life. Lol

Same danger as scorpion or tarantula in my opinion. And with proper precautions, totally sealed tank with higher filtration and larger uv sterilizer. Only time tank is open is feeding time and not so often if you add a few crabs every couple days. But this is just my opinion and how I feel about them. Wish I could get to be a part of marine science studies or even specifically cephalopods. There is still so much unexplained about all of them. 0 ; )
