Big clown trying to eat little clown

If they are new to the tank and new to each other there will be some fighting and fin nipping until dominance is claimed by one of the clowns and which will become the female as clowns are born neither male nor female.

As said above they arent paired and are fighting for dominance. Sounds like it was a nasty battle if one clown has the other in its mouth, it typically wont end well for the non dominant one.

As stated it can get very nasty if they are not paired. Yes they are very sweet fish once paired but if they are not they can become very aggressive and do damage. I lost a gorgeous black ice snowflake clown due to it not being paired and it's jaw got broke. It eventually passed away as it wasn't able to eat.
What kind of clown is big momma shes about 6 inches. Saddle back?

If the small one isn't a saddleback it will probably never work. When pairing with a large female best to get a small male in first and add large female after. Just make sure its much smaller and the same species.
