Put them on constant and turn all 3 to 100% for a few minutesbest and most powerful flow to clear detritus from bottom on 36” wide 60” long reef ? I already have three MP 60s.
I have one MP 60 on the back wallI'm barebottom. I like having some on the back wall. Water will hit the front then down and back. Much of my detritus gets swept into the corners so it's easy to vacuum. On my 84x30x25" I have 6 mp40s and a gyre. 2 on each end, 2 on the back one on each side of the center overflow and the gyre blowing behind the rock work. I've never been successful keeping all of the detritus clear tho except on my 36x24x24" tank with 4 powerheads on the back wall. All of my detritus goes to one corner. Nutrient transport mode cranked up does a decent job with the MPs
Yes, bare bottom AcroporaIs this a bare bottom system?
If you’re only going to use a single wave maker I’d say a large gyre would be the best fit. It has the widest dispersion and will move a sheet of water across the bottom of the tank. I like the ReefWave 45 personally.
If you’re going to employ multiple devices you can use whatever your budget allows (MP 40s and 60s, Nero’s, multiple ReefWaves, etc).
The overflow is on the outside of the tank. I forget what it’s called.Put them on constant and turn all 3 to 100% for a few minutes
On the wet side grate do you have the solid portion at the top? This prevents cyclones coming from the surface and increases undertow
