That looks' great dude!

My 40 Breeder I didn't do 2x6, but each leg is three each 2x4, and I have a center brace between the front and back rails on the top. Between that, glue, screws, and a plywood top these are super strong.
Thanks! Pretty excited about starting this. I’ll eventually move to a sump system so I’ll have to make some doors and cut open the plywood. But that’s still TBD! Just wanna run the dang cycle already!!

Just built a four-head doser that utilizes the 0-10v outputs from my Hydros. Makes it easy to control an setup schedules for dosing or water changes from Hydros.

I have 3D printed rock work before which some Xenia and feather dusters attached too and seemed to work well as a rock for bacteria and critters.

I'm now working on a micro reef seen in the image below. Includes it's on DIY LED light l, heater and pump. 2 are being made. The 1st is just 0.7L and the other is still a tiny 2.5L.

The aim is on improving stability on small aquariums and to learn my micro controller code on a small scale before using what I have learnt for a more advanced system on my Fluval Evo.

Pliers and tape measure for scale!

- Paul :)

King of DIY inspired stand. 2x6's covered with 3/4" plywood. 2x8 over large opening in back to access sump area.
Two 40 gal breeders. Water drains into the lower one, three 4" filter socks, skimmer, return. Return line is tee'd and very slow flow into upper breeder. That 40 gal is divided in half. Water goes into back half with all the refugium stuff then into front half filled with rock then drains back into the return pump area of 1st breeder.

Just boring stuff - Aragocrete rocks and racks and I've printed lid clips for the new tank, printed a doser table, printed a feeding port, printed filter floss/filter socks replacements, printed some dosing tube holders, egg crate frag racks, my in-tank Fuge holder/frag rack (everyone says it's an At-At...).

At-At is on the right...

I made the controller and dosing pump, a over the tank algae chato reactor and put the ato reservoir over the tank like this:
IMG_20231106_195230298.jpg
Everything is stuffed under a sink, it is really hard to keep. The pipes goes to a chiller and back.

Now I will try a second tank, a proper one with a sump.

So I made a tool to design aquariums using freecad. It is a plugin for freecad called freecad_aquarium:

It will be something like this:
8_canopy_panels.png

I hope that it will be easier to maintain.

I made a Battery Back up, for minimal water flow from a Watch Dog Back up Sump Pump. Three Spot Light LED Fixtures, with Dual 30Watt LED’s Heat Sinks and Fans, a Ten Minute Time Delay, to match the Ten Minute Delay on my Pumps, for the UV. Built out a Power Supply Cabinet for my LED Strip Lights. Made a Wet Catch Bucket, for picking up Saltwater. It’s rather crude compared to the ones at work though. Does keep the Saltwater out of my Wet Vac if careful. Built a Couple Spill Trays for my Sump Cabinets. I want to Build Two Old Time Wood Single Pulleys, to raise my Canopy. Can’t find someone with a Floor Stand Drill Press to cut the Blanks out of 3” Oak with a 4” Hole Saw.
dang! thats a lot of stuff! any tutorials for the LED fixtures?

That is something I would have never thought of doing, but that is a really good idea
Worked out far better than expected, especially considering it's size and shape with my 3d printer. We get a great look into our tank now. We are going on vacation soon and needed to get a good view of everything (positioned near the avast plank) to ensure we get a good roll call.

Some nice DIY stuff here. Great idea for a thread.

I made this LiPo4 battery backup cabinet, last year. It has already saved my tank twice. Build video below.

I initially intended to put a frag tank on top, that is why it has the holes. My son convinced me to get an axolotl for him instead. So now we have a sidecar axolotl tank, where the plant is in this picture, right next to the main display.
