Nice post, encrusting at both surface points. Did you intentionally leave the gap for water flow in the middle?

Sorta, kinda, but not really. I really like the Real Reef frag plugs that it is mounted on, but I didn't have one that it would sit well on. So when I placed it, I made sure it had good contact on both sides of the plug, also making sure that any branches it had where placed upward for growth. Coincidentally, I noticed the gap and figured I would try it out and see what happened. So far seems to be doing well.

March update. Fully covers frag plug and is now encrusting down the sides. Newest growth appears to be white and then color fills in as it continues to grow. Tips are showing a little more color. Polyps extending a little more. It's settling in.

Here is my March entry. Sorry it is a day late, I hope it can still count. Also sorry for the lousy picture. I was having a bit of trouble this evening.

Frag is currently looking a bit beat up. Had to move most of my SPS earlier this week. My frag tank has been taking a nose dive for a yet to be determine reason. Hoping that thing will recover in my display while I figure out what’s going on.

I’m not a part of this contest, just getting that out there.
But I am proud that I’ve managed to color up this gal...
Notoriously hard to do so!
Just wanted to share with you guys because she’s been a pale tan color for like 2 or 3 months and then bam!
Colors start coming in...
So hang in there you guys

One day late for March entry.
Grew about .25” since last month and a lot of encrusting.

Mid-month update because I'm going to China for work at the end of this month. More encrusting, more color, some more vertical growth

What kind of rock did you use? For a young tank that looks solidly mature.
