How high/low is it sitting under what Type of lights. Flow. Special dosing patterns. Miracle-Gro? One impressive frag What does the rest of your tank look like.

Lol! I was thinking growth hormones myself. Maybe some steroids and creatine for dessert!

I had it under Kassel 700 T5 supplement two blue Plus 1 actinic one purple Plus 6in down underwater I just put it under a SunPower 8 bulb T5 I think it likes this better I just dos fuel twice a week

I just ordered an ATI 6 bulb fixture for my 40 gal yesterday. What bulbs do you use in yours? I see the kessil supplements listed but not the t5 only.

Do you follow the label for dosing amounts for fuel?

Today, 5 months after receiving the frag.
I just gave up on measurement. The encrusting is too thick by now and this dang coral in the back simply grows across everything………it not clear in the picture but its branches are above the frag.

I am going to submit a day early because I want to make sure how I measured is okay. The base of the coral is so thick right now it's throwing off the measurement. To fix the issue I used the same frag plug as the beginning pic and just set it next to the coral so I can measure it the same way as day 1.

Today marks six months!

... and today July 25th. I tried to find the same ruler, but I cant seem to find it sorry. I wish it would have colored up a little more, but I saw some pretty decent vertical growth... about 3/4"!!! I know encrusting doesnt count, but the Real Reef rubble I placed it on is 1.25"x1", and it is totally encrusted even working its way to the underside of it.

Agreed, it was well specified early on in the contest that they will be judged not only on height but overall growth as well as color.

It seemed quite a few showed up early on being extremely pale while others already had good/decent coloring, I don't think those that had the good coloring to begin with should be penalized, but the pale one's that now look great I would think certainly have an edge based on how tricky this piece is to color up.

There is one that I think is heads above the rest and really not much of a contest, but I'll leave that up to the judges and just complain if he or she isn't crowned winner Unfortunately, that's not me as my tank has been through the ringer the past six month...dang life gets in the way sometimes!
