In your opinion, do you think the two LED 90'S will suffice for my desired mostly LPS/Softies and few SPS?
I don't know much about those but like you. I have a Vectra M2 and MP40s so I went with XR15 pro lights because everything integrates on the mobius app. Very easy to balance lights, flow and circulation on one app.

Good point! That would be nice to have it all in one app. I don't have the Ecotech Reeflink for my pumps. Is the controllability worth the $110?

I don't think it's reeflink anymore just the mobius app on your phone. I'm sure you can program them manually to your liking but some people have things like auto feeders to they use the app to automatically shut power down to like 5% for fish and or coral feeding. If your components can be upgraded to the latest version of mobius then I would say it is worth 110 even more so if you add the radions so everything in your tank pops up with a button push.

I tried it and it worked! Took a bit of fiddling with updating but I finally got it. I had to hard reset an MP40 controller and then it updated. I had no idea these pumps were controllable right out of the box. I’m entering the 21st century of reefing after owning all my **** boxes for years lol.

Cool deal, I'm glad they still support the older reeflink app to. I found the mobius to be very user friendly. I run my M2 at 45% in the sump so 900gph but more like 750 at the tank return. I run my MP40s in lagoon mode at varied speed during the day with a max of 45% intensity and 30% over night. You tank is bigger so your percentage can be increased.

Nice. Good to know. Since I have no frame of reference. I currently have the return at 50% and the MP40’s in Lagoon mode as well at 50% power also.

I haven’t crunched the numbers to verify turnover rate or anything yet…

That's a good starting point. I run the MP40s at 30% overnight, then 40% 500am till 800am then 45% 800am till 500pm then back to 40% 500pm till 800pm.

Make sure one is set to 100% anti sync

I was wondering how to do that. That’s my next fine tune.

This must be the latest version of mobius. My app just updated to this version today. You should be good to go.

Just added an IceCap skimmer stand for the Quantum Nyos. Nice quality stand, we’ll see how she works.

Also added a used Kessil H80 Tuna Flora to the refugium along with some chaeto and a bit of caulerpa.

I swapped closets for rooms. The new one allowed me to plumb my RO/DI system under my sink and make my water a lot easier. More room too =) I have some tidying up to do still.

I have a 1” bulkhead that I will use to tie the Brutes together for gravity filling the saltwater bin.

Before and after's below.

I have the same 4 stage RODI system. I was advised to add a silicate filter to it. Have you considered this?
I have not. I understood that the system would remove this as is? I did install a chloramine filter since our supply uses chloramines though.

So if one reads 0 TDS, there could still be silicates in the water? I am not aware of this.

I had an experienced reefer who does aquarium service small to big tanks come over and that was the first thing he noticed on my RODI system sitting on the floor in the garage. Apparently BRS makes an adapter to add the silicate filter on to existing systems. Maybe that is why there are 4 or 5 or even 6 phase filter systems out there.

Last night, my wife and I set all 19 of our frags from WWC.

Everything is going, shall we say, swimmingly. I am happy so far. Best reef I’ve had in my reefing tenure. Now we wait for it to grow.

Just placed my fish order from @Dr. Reef

Excited!

Tomini Tang, Biota Mandarin Dragonette, Royal Gramma, 2 Bangaii Cardinals, Cleaner Shrimp.

Bit of a big bio-load at once but it's just so much cheaper to 1 shipment of fish. Not to mention availability and aggression mitigation factors. I have a small EVO frag tang that I could throw a few fish in to add to DT last if I want.

Either way, I'll add some Brightwell Aquatics MicroBacter 7.

Thank you for the support. I appreciate it.
MB7 will work or you can start feeding tank extra few days prior to delivery.
Beneficial bacteria lives in same ratio as ammonia being produced. So by feeding extra a few days prior you are increasing ammonia production, This is trigger the bacteria to grow and in 15-18 hrs, colony will double in size.
After the fish are introduced it will adjust accordingly.
