I'm not a big spender, the most expensive coral I've ever bought was $130 and it was something I couldn't resist. I set a limit of $40 for myself a long time ago and I've only broken my $40 frag limit 3 times.
I have the same buying style as you. I set my limit at $35 but if something is up to 40 and I really like it I don't get mad at myself. I tend to break my spending limit pretty often however. Especially when shipping is the same as or more than my average coral spending limit. It is rare however that I spend more than $80 on something. VERY rare lol.

Wife and I have a spending limit as well of about $40. But it usually ends up being around $150. Hence we only make a monthly trip to the LFS. This time around I have frags to trade as well.
I just made my first ever frag a few days ago. I am letting them heal but so far it looks healthy. It's zoas I didn't want anymore. I separated them and put them on fresh plugs. I forgot their exact name but they are one of the variants of toxic green.

They do post duplicates of some stuff. It might look different since it's WYSIWYG but labeled the same and priced very similar.
