Tim is doing well. Enjoying some good IPA’s with some buddies. I don’t know if he forgot about the tank in the basement or not. Hahaha
but overall he is doing great. I’ll snap some pictures when I’m with him next…. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

It had water in it and was running with rock, water, sump etc. however, when cleaning the pane of glass one day, it got a scratch in it. So 61 pages, a few years, I assume we can all guess that @aquavista99 is a perfectionist….so he drained the tank and worked hard to remove the scratches.
last time I was there, the tank had some water in it but wasn’t filled up yet.

Av99 has always been a favorite of mine. Some of the best corals. Bookmarked the thread years ago haha I love the updates!
Hope all is well @aquavista99 has anyone been in contact with Tim?
Back in 2020, I briefly emptied the big tank and decided to go with a lot less rock for the new system (see attached pictures with new rock layout). In June of 2021, the tank was cycling again and almost ready to add fish.

Did this thing ever get going?! 61 pages and still not alive!
In late 2021, we started a major whole house renovation project that is still ongoing. My entire house was gutted and not livable for almost a year. With all the construction chaos and delays, I decided to temporarily shut down my big tank project and focus on the house and maintaining my existing coral grow-out system.

With renovations almost complete, the big tank will see life again and soon!

Ready for some updated coral pictures? I somehow managed to keep my grow-out system going despite the renovation madness.

I received that one a while back from jda. He mentioned Jason lost his years ago. Purple Blade has been in my system for about four years. Remained dormant for a while. Exposed to higher light and flow. Stability and luck helps too.

SBB Half Baked

Sourced from Jason Fox in February 2020. Remained dormant for over a year or so. Photographed under daylight halides. Haven’t seen this gem offered since the first and maybe only release.
