Hey guys, all my water parameters seems to be good from my tests.

Temp 78F
Salinity 1.026
ALK 10.0
PH 8.4
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 5-10ppm

Everything else in the tank seems to be doing great. Just this Branching head Duncan was open for probably a couple days when I first got it, and now it seems like it’s been closed up like this for the last week or two, any tips?

magnesium and calcium? I say that because my duncan did the exact same thing, checked my magnesium and it was at like 980 instead of the 1350 range, as soon as I got it above 1200 it opened up a lot and at 1350 I didn’t even see it that open when i got it at the LFS.

On mine it's hard to get the picture, but it still looks like I can see the tenticles tucked all down inside it, Im not sure, im fairly new to all of this!

mag and calcium I like the hanna checker, I always used to use the red sea pro test kits and those were giving me readings that my mag was at 1300 and calcium was at 400 but then went to an LFS and they tested my water with the hanna checker and they were exponentially lower than what I was getting. the hanna checkers will always be the best imo, just a bit pricey-but considering the money we put into this hobby already I believe they’re well worth it.

I have the Hanna Checker for Alk, and I like it! Yes, they are a little pricy for sure, but they do seem to work quite well

well if you can still see the tenticles you still have a chance..

Another thing is how much light is it under?

I don't think my duncan also likes high par... its like mid-low with more emphasis on blue.

It’s down low in the tank, it’s a 10 gal Waterbox aio. I also lean more towards the blues as well. Do you think it should be moved under one of the rock over hangs for more shade ?
