Hello Fellow Aquarists!
Greetings from Brazil!

I need to buy a circulation pump for my 80L (21G) nano reef because I've noticed the accumulation of sediments in the background.
(I leave a picture to watch.)

(I had cleaned the glasses when I photographed, I don't think the animals were very beautiful at the time)

I've been reading a lot about Jebao's new wave pump models because they're seemingly cheap.
I liked the SOW, SLW and ALW models but my budget can't cover them.

So I started looking at the Jebao RW-4 ($59.96) and Atman RX-40 ($59.75). I also observed the Sine Wave generation SOW-3N model($49.26), quieter and more powerful, but SOW-3N has a force of only 3000L/h while RW-4 and RX-40 move 4000L/h.

I also looked for some videos of RW-4 and RX-40 working and had the impression that RX-40 is a little noisier at higher speeds. However, the Atman brand gives me more confidence and robustness than Jebao.

That said, I would like your opinions and comments on these brands and models of Wave Pump.

Jebao RW-4($59.96) - 4.000L/h - 10W - 5 wave modes

Jebao SOW-3N($49.26) - 3.000L/h - 06W - 5 wave modes

Atman RX-40($59.75) - 4.000L/h - 10W - 5 wave modes

I have been very happy with my Jabao pumps, specifically I have used the SOWs. I do tend to buy them oversized for the tank they will be going in, but I like to keep corals that like high flow (SPS)

I have not used the other models or that other brand so I can't help you there.

The SOW pumps seem to be exceptional, however, my budget only allows me to get the SOW-3N which has only 6W and 3,000L/h.

I think it would be insufficient for my tank.

What is yours? Has it been running for a long time?

Hmm I have not used the 3N, I have 4 and 8. I used 2 of the SOW-4s in my 20L and that was plenty for SPS coral. Can always start with one wave maker and add a space unit down the road.

As far as quality/reliability, I used mine for 12+ months without issue (aside from cleaning the pumps) before I upgraded my tanks. I still hold onto them in case I set up a new tank or one of my current pumps fail.

Have Jebao SOW, Jebao gyre, and return pumps. All have done really well. I used to be a Tunze and Ecotech person until I found out that's really a pointless purchase.
