Anyone ever have a ASD Rainbow Milli be pink rather than that orange/gold? It still looks like a great coral, but I'm surprised I'm not getting the orange. It is still a smaller frag/colony. It is in super high light (10in under an XR30 at 100%) and going through a massive growth spurt.

Cool looking!
It does not look like mine did. This is under halides and Orphek blue bars.

I do not have a piece currently under leds but I run xr15 blues.
I run ab+ at full 100%.
Colors are better under reduced blues, imo.
I am going to go to 7hrs full ab+ and run the first 4 at 50% and 100% point for 2hrs each side so 11 total.

maybe lacking some nitrate? and are you sure its ASD?
I do run pretty low nitrates. I found this one on the web and it is super similar in coloration. Most I've seen in person looks like @90's reefer@ colony though. I was just curious if anyone else had one that did this.

I have one but it definitely doesn't have the pink colors. Do you know what par you have yours at?
I am not sure on the par level. I was planning on mapping out my par levels soonish. There is someone local that is going to let me use his par meter (those things are expensive).

They are! I just recently bought a Apogee MQ-510 off a fellow reefer from this marketplace forum. I sent it in for calibration and just got it back. Definitely a fun and expensive toy.

You could try increasing Nitrate slowly to see if it helps. In my case I seen better results with higher nitrates no necessaraly with phosphate though.

I feel like there are 2 versions out there. I had one years ago that was like a high def version of a sunset millepora. The frag I'm growing out now is what I originally wanted and is similar to what you described. I think the higher the light, the more of that orange/pink you'll see.

I'm dosing 75ml of neonitro a day and still struggle to get detectable nitrates, hahaha.

These need calibrated??
Periodically, yep. Apogee suggests every 2 years with 'regular' use. Had my sq420 calibrated last year as its been used heavily. Only 50 bucks and its worth it imho.

How many fish in the system?
Sorry, I got a lot of notifications at once and missed this thread. I have an ok amount of fish:

Very very large bannerfish
Medium mimic tang
2 medium/larger fairy wrasses
Small filefish
Smallish blue tang
Medium sailfin
2 smaller clowns

I feed a ton. I feed 3x per day. 2x pellets with the AFS and then a nice sized chunk of frozen in the evening. It is probably cause I adjusted my lights to be 100% (XR15/Kessil A360/XR30/Kessil A360/XR15), and I have a super large fast growing leather coral. Most of my corals grow fast... Except for the ones I want to (TGC cherry bomb and such). I'll get an updated FTS this evening. I got individual coral shots earlier, lol.
