are ribbon eels and pufferfish good tank mates?

ive been toying with setting up another tank because i have REALLY wanted a puffer fish since day one. but second on my list would be a ribbon eel. can you give me your thoughts? would they work together? what requirements do they have that i should be aware of? i know the puffer needs a bigger tank. would a 125 be big enough?

Depends on the type of puffer, but typically they will not get along. Ribbon eels have a poor sense of “self”. They think they are hidden, but parts of their long bodies can lay out in the open and puffers can’t resist biting them. Arothon puffers are thh my e worst, but porcupine and canthigaster puffers may also be an issue.
