Hi guys, I have had these two seahorses for a while now. I feed them pellets and frozen brine shrimp one to two times a day…they are both super active and either fluttering around the tank or are hook around a piece of decor. I am not a seahorse expert, to me they look absolutely beautiful…but I am not sure how to tell if they are being under fed, do they look skinny?

They don’t look plump but they don’t look emaciated either. Are there pods or other living goodie’s in the tank that they can snack upon?

So i have two kuda seahorses and i used to feed pe mysis which are on the larger size . But i recently watched a video on fragbox that had a guest on who has bred seahorses and spoke on the subject of food for seahorses . He said to make sure to feed marine mysis to give them the best nutrition. Most mysis on the market are freshwater mysis . Currently the only brand im aware of that offers marine mysis is a brand called v2o mini mysis . what i do is actually mix frozen ( v2o mini mysis , hikari mysis , and enriched spirulina brine shrimp ) . I get a small container some rodi water, two cubes of each allow them to thaw out then drain the water so your left with a mixture of shrimp and allow you to remove alot of the juices that degrade the aquarium water , and allow it to freeze. when youre ready to feed just cut small chunks and feed them . I do this to provide a diverse diet and make sure i meet thier nutritional needs. From the day ive fed this way my seahorses have been extremley healthy and vibrant :)
