Aquabiomics Live Reef Rubble High Temp

I ordered some Aquabiomics Live Reef Rubble to add to my aquarium. It's hot where I'm at and after opening the package, the water is measuring 95 F. Is it still ok to use or is everything toast?

Id assume it will be as effective as it would have been otherwise. Im personally not a believer in the idea a little rubble in a big tank will somehow diversify the bacterial community. It seems far more logical to assume theyd be quickly outcompeted by one of the more dominant strains already present.

Sorry for the late response, hopefully we addressed this over email like most customer service issues.

For the record, in case a reader has a similar question:

My opinion is that based on the range of temperatures encountered by live rock during international shipping, temperatures like you describe are probably OK for a short time. Bacteria are a lot tougher than fish. If it was me - I'd use the rubble. Worst case would be a little bacterial dieoff, not enough to affect the tank. And I expect some of the bacteria would survive.

But with that said, our policy is certainly that if something goes wrong in shipping (delays, bad handling by UPS, etc.) we will make it right, ideally with a replacement. So please email if this didnt get resolved so we can take care of it.

It was taken care of and a replacement was shipped. Excellent customer service!
