Aptasia x affect on params

I just want to make sure can aptasia x have an effect on alk. Im pretty sure it can change your ph. I have a a lot of aptasia i need to get rid of. Usually i just do it every weeks and it controls it. Should i just do it the night before a wc? I think its just sodium hydroxide in aptasia x

I think it can, but you'd have to use a good bit of it in a standard sized tank for it to have impact. At least that's my understanding. Hopefully one of the #chemistrygurus will weigh in.

Alternate it with vinegar. Problem solved.
