Did a fish take them out for you?
That's all that would work. Tried lots of L. boggessi (correct peppermints), wrasses atem. Tried Berghia, wrasses (especially Coris) atem, tried filefish, didn't do squat except get a taste for zoas. Settled on a Klein Butterfly, 1st one ate the aiptasia then the zoas was next. Tried Klein #2, same result at Klein #1, just only picks at certain zoas.

So far I haven't seen the ones I stabbed in the heart.

Just picked up this super rare very expensive anemone from my LFS so excited! So rare most stores don’t even list it for sale!

If you can’t beat it, frag it.

I'm Bif not buffy
Not assigning gender. Just a pop culture reference. “Stabbed through the heart”, “sucker” just made me think of killing vampires.
Did they at least ash or squeal or burst into flames?

I've had incredible luck with berghias and my Copper Band Butterfly.
Berghias, however, are not wrasse safe.

That where this one was. They do look like glass anemone but not so much when in the display under better lighting. This one was cool. I could feed then watch the pellet travel down it's stem. They're pretty interesting for a critter that gets so much hate. I really do think trying to eradicate them causes them to multiply, at least in my tanks.
Spot on. Tried it all and nothing worked, they just multiply.

I'm a firm biological eradication is the only long term solution. I tried Joe's juice, f aiptasia, all the usual crap in a bottle. Just made it worse.
Here we go: in chronological order

Boiling water
Lemon juice
Aiptasia x
Kalkwasserpaste
Peppermint Shrimps.

At least the peppermints don't spread it...In a matter of fact I haven't seen them since putting them in last weekend. My mantis is probably having a feast.
Last resort...Kleini Butterfly. R.I.P Corals that don't make it
